Inside the book: “DOES ANYONE REALLY KNOW ME?”

My divorce was not final yet and my husband was not at the hospital when I had the baby. My family was there—thank God because it was something so deeply hurtful that I think without God I would not have done as well as I did. God had said to me that He would be with me, and indeed, He sure was in such a special way. There were people asking me if I needed a counselor or something, and I was kind of thinking to myself, for what? Well, my family and I cried for a long while in the hospital that day, and the next couple of days for me would seem to be harder. I would find myself feeling like I should be feeding my baby or wanting to ask for my baby but remembering I could not do that. Wow, that is an empty feeling that only God can fill. I was waiting in the hospital to have my tubes tied because I felt and thought, I am not going to be left with another baby to raise by myself. I did change my mind at the last minute, but by then I was falling asleep from the anesthesia they give me to operate.

After the operation, I still had to go home and make arrangements for my baby Daniel, and I had no money. Let me say that God has angels even in our midst. As I was making calls and trying to work out funeral arrangements, God was working it all out for me. I received a call from a funeral home in Long Beach, and the person on the other end said that the finances had been taken care of; I did not need to pay. Well, they would not give a name of the person who took care of everything for me, but I found out who it was. Let me say thank you again: you know who you are, even if you did not know I knew. God bless you over and over. I went to see my son Daniel at the funeral home, just God and me. The people there were so very nice, but they could not understand how I was so strong. I had the man ask me if I was OK many times, and I said, I am all right. I asked if I could be alone with my baby and he asked if I was sure and I replied yes, thank you. That next few minutes would be so very special to me, and I would never forget them. I had a chance to look at all of him: he was cold and his color was not as a living person but he was so very beautiful. I felt his little toes, his hands, all of him, even his little undeveloped head, as I thanked God for the little time I had him. It was harder leaving that funeral home than it was getting there. I left a rose to be cremated with him and yes, I still have his ashes. Losing a child is the hardest thing a parent can go through.

~~~ DESIRING ACCEPTANCE ~~~
~~~ DESIRING ACCEPTANCE ~~~

INSIDE THE BOOK: ~~~ “Does Anyone Really Know Me?” ~~~

I started attending this church in my mid twenties, and got involved in everything I could be involved in. I was in the choir, doing the bus ministry and some of the back landscaping at the church. I enjoyed serving very much though I still felt empty inside. I think I tried to do things to make myself feel more accepted because I was lacking in that area a lot. Sometimes when we do not feel accepted by other people, we will try to get approval by them and settle for things that are not God’s best because we think that may be all that God has for us, but I am here to tell you, that is a lie. God wants only the best for His children, and if He is for you, who can be against you? I did not have that mind-set then and always have to remind myself of it now. As I look back, I can see how I wanted so much to be accepted, loved not rejected, and God was doing that all along. It is very hard to separate God from the way we think of people sometimes, especially if we have only known rejection or abandonment all our life.

Hello Friends,

Right now I am writing a book on the subject of acceptance and the root causes of why oftentimes we long for acceptance so very badly. This next book will take a deeper look into the behaviors that accompany our desire to be accepted. The book will also deal with the issues of self-abuse, addictions, and will focus on the real reasons behind most negative behaviors and bad decision-making we may make as adults. This book will deal with the deep-rooted causes that go far past looking at the surface. Look for the new book in late November.

eBook ~ DARE TO BELIEVE ~

INSIDE THE eBOOK    ~~~ DOES ANYONE REALLY KNOW ME? ~~~
In order to identify with other people, sometimes you have to understand where they have been.  Jesus knows our pain and suffering because He went through it and carried what we cannot carry.  He said in Matthew 11:29-30, “Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  What He is saying is, give it to Me and take on Me, your Savior.  God can do more with your mess than you can anyway.  He can take a mess and make a masterpiece.  He can take a victim and make a victor.  He is the potter and we need to learn to let Him make something beautiful out of us even through all the pain of molding us as clay.  He can and will do it.  When we try and try and try only to fail yet again, that’s when God says, “Are you done?  Will you let Me have it now?  Will you let Me make something beautiful out of your mess?”  God wants to do so many awesome things in our lives if we will only let Him and quit trying to do things our way.  Does the clay say to the potter, “What are you doing?”
